Photography Guidelines & Permit

Who’s It For?

The photography permit is for any photographer who wants to take pictures of clients on the farm. Sessions are only allowed before or after the Christmas season with a photography permit. If you’re a customer you’re welcome to snap some pics of your family when you come to get your Christmas tree. For other photography and media questions please email us!

Price & How to Obtain

Photographers are welcome to use the farm for sessions with the purchase of a $150.00 permit. Permits may be obtained by calling our team and scheduling a time to come get yours.

The Rules

1.

No professional photography after November 22nd, 2024.  Photography may resume on December 22nd, 2024.

2.

Your permit is good from the date of purchase until August 31st, 2024 and must be displayed each visit while you are working.

3.

Do not remove tags from trees. The trees are tagged numerically for our customers convenience and farm efficiency.  If one tag is removed from its numerical order it plays havoc at the farm.

4.

Please ensure that clients have your direct contact information. The farm is 40 acres, so they’ll need an easy way to find you when they arrive. Owasso Christmas Tree Farm staff is not responsible for directing clients to your photo shoot location.

5.

Please be aware that multiple photographers and their clients will likely be onsite during your booked session. Please be professional and courteous. There are 40 acres of beautiful property to work with.

6.

Owasso Christmas Tree Farm is a fully-operating farmstead. Please take into consideration weather and the natural environment as you and your clients prepare for your visit with us. Boots or close-toed shoes are highly recommended. Dress for the weather!

7.

There is certain maintenance that has to happen on our tree farm. One of the tasks is spraying for insects just before we open. We never know the exact day this will occur due to weather conditions (rain, wind, etc).  To satisfy all EPA guidelines we will have to close for two days. It will not be on a weekend.  We will publish on our social pages and blog here on the site a couple days prior to the closing.  We thank you for understanding.

8.

Vehicles are not allowed in Christmas Tree or Berry fields under any circumstances. All props, furniture, etc. must be carried to your photo shoot location. We recommend bringing a wagon to transport props or other items. Large props need to be approved by the staff.

9.

The photographer and all photographer’s clients will hold harmless Owasso Christmas Tree and Berry Farm for any injuries sustained during photography sessions and is not responsible for injuries that may occur from poses or requests by photographer during sessions.

10.

We ask that all children under 12 years of age be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please do not allow children to throw rocks. Rocks are hard on lawn mowers.  We keep the farm mowed and manicured for everyone’s enjoyment.

11.

Pets are allowed on the farm, but must remain on a leash at all times. Waste must be removed and disposed of properly.
