Berry Seasons Approchin!
It’s been a very interesting past 4 months, from -12° in Febuary to 28° on April 23rd. It seems the weather does not want to cooperate with berry production.
Blueberries berries have survived with flying colors and we expect our harvest to begin in first week of June. Blackberries did receive damage in Febuary and April. We have added an LP Gas Heating system to our Blackberries. Even though we did not manage it fully, a learning curve, it was a benefit.
We are expecting to start harvesting Blackberries the second week of June, and possibly sooner! (Depending on Weather) We'll post all updates here on the website and on our social media platforms! We can’t wait to see everyone! - Bill and Paula Jacobs

Christmas Season COVID-19 Response
Howdy, everyone! We wanted to give a statement for our response to COVID-19/SARS-COV-2. After careful deliberation with all of our leaders and after consulting with healthcare professionals we have developed five main precautions that we will do to ensure the safety of our patrons and staff. In this season we will always follow the guidelines recommended by the CDC. Through all this we have based all decisions around your safety.
1. We will require all staff to wear a mask/face covering at all times. While inside the Gift Shop we require you to also wear a face mask or covering.
2. We will be monitoring each employee's health daily.
3.We will be sanitizing all high traffic areas hourly. Handsaws will be sanitized after each use. All facilities will be fully sanitized daily.
4. We have installed a walk-up checkout window for anyone who does not feel comfortable entering the Gift Shop.
5. We have moved the complementary Hot Apple Cider outside of the Gift Shop and into a separate building, the Cider Shack.
We would like to thank everyone for their continued support throughout this season. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to reach out! - The Tree Farm Family
Berries Are A Blooming!
With the beautiful weather comes great rewards, our berries are in full bloom! We expect our Blueberries to be ready by the end of May and our Blackberries to be ready around the second week of June.
We’ve been hard at work.
In the past few weeks we’ve been hard at work planting 785 new blueberry bushes. We recently purchased a new mulching machine which allows us to work faster. With it we can fill a grow bag in around 30 seconds.
In case you missed it.
We recently published our response to the Covid-19 situation, heres our response.
New Year New Trees
One thing that has to happen each year is replanting the fields. This year we switched up how we do it, we purchased two Pottiputki tree planters. These allow us a smaller crew only about three people compared to our old method that required about seven people. These bars remove all variables for error and each tree is planted exactly perfect. We’re able to work faster with these two we were able to plant over 900 trees in just under 5 hours! Each tree gets a slow release fertility tablet put in the ground next to it, shown on the right two photos. Each tree has been inoculated for pine tip moth for up to two years.
